What to do at Warwick Castle?

When we get there, we will brief you on any safety concerns and then you are free to roam about the castle grounds yourself. You can explore the castle and its history from its state rooms to its stone towers. You can follow a historical experience and find out what life was like preparing for battle in the year1471. Or experience what a royal wedding would have been like in 1898. There is much history but also much entertainment; there are many live shows to see all around the site. Some of them happen at set times - here are when they are showing:

War of the Roses LIVE! (Jousting) 11:45am & 15:30pm
Falconers Quest (Bird Show) 12:30pm
Legend of the Trebuchet (Catapult) 10:45am & 14:00pm

There are also free tours you can go on to ask knowledgable historians questions about the castle. The tours they offer are:

Ultimate castle tour: Learn the entire history of Warwick Castle, 1068 – present. Nearly 1000 years in 30 minutes! (Exterior tour)

Stately Splendour: Take a tour of our magnificent Great hall and staterooms, home of the Greville family for nearly 400 years. (Tour length 30 – 40 minutes)

Armour talk: A matchless collection of armour. Learn the myths surrounding armour and why armour is more than just used for protection. (Talk length 20 – 30 minutes)

Ghost tour: Haunting or hoax? Discover the terrifying truth about why ghosts may reside within the castle walls. (Tour length 30 minutes)

The Castle Dungeon: A hauntingly thrilling attraction that is not for the faint-hearted. Prepare to be transported back in time to the days of the putrefying Plague as you see, hear, feel, and (ahem!) smell the castle’s resident creatures and succumb to over 300 years of Warwick’s most gruesome and grizzly history!
