We’d like to invite you and your members to take part in WaterBlitz at The Garth Community Garden on Friday, 19th September 2025 (12:00–16:00) in Bicester.
This free community event is part of the UK-wide Great WaterBlitz citizen science campaign (19–22 September), which empowers local people to monitor water quality and raise awareness of pollution issues.
What to expect:
- Learn how to test local water quality with free citizen science kits
- Take a kit home and contribute to a national survey of freshwater health
- Explore how local groups are protecting freshwater habitats
- Connect with others in the Bicester community
- Visit our information stands and enjoy a welcoming atmosphere
Why it matters:
- Build awareness of water pollution and healthy freshwater ecosystems
- Gain practical tools to collect meaningful environmental data
- Strengthen the case for environmental protection through community advocacy
