About the training:
Mandatory Units (Licence to Practice)
The BICSc Licence to Practice ensures that a Cleaning Operative is proficient in the necessary entry level skills to perform their role, including storage of equipment and materials, the safe assembly and care of equipment and chemical competence.
All operatives who complete their Licence to Practice are issued with a unique Licence to Practice Card. Each card is valid for three years, after which operatives will be reassessed and re-trained where necessary.
What are the benefits?
The Licence to Practice ensures that operatives are safe in their role and are compliant with BICSc standards and health and safety requirements.
This foundation training is the first of many stepping stones for an operative to further their career through education and training as the skills suite assumes no previous knowledge and requires no prior training of how to perform cleaning operations.
Additionally, upon completion of the Licence to Practice, an operative will receive a three-year membership to the Institute as a Practitioner Grade member.
How do I achieve a Licence to Practice?
To achieve the BICSc Licence to Practice you will need to complete the three mandatory units from the BICSc CPSS 2.0 qualification:
- Chemical Competence
- Safe Assembly of Equipment
- Storage of Equipment and Materials
