Event description

Description

Learn about how to write a successful arts fundraising bid with our resident expert Matt Ashdown on Saturday 24th February 2018.

Tickets for this workshop are available through the Fish Factory crowdfunder until this Sunday 10th December - help us move to our new home in Penryn and be one of the first to use the new facilities.

There are currently 6 places available but we will run an extra date if there's demand.

About the workshop:

You will gain practical tips to write a strong fundraising application for an arts or heritage project. You will learn what funding bodies are looking for, and how to be convincing in a very competitive environment. Matt will explain why research is vital to making a great case for support. You will come away with a step-by-step process for bid writing success.

About the workshop leader:

Matt Ashdown is an arts fundraising consultant and Associate Member of the Institute of Fundraising. In 2013, he was one of 15 people selected for the Arts Council funded Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Fellowship, and has attended National Arts Fundraising School. He was one of the first people to gain a Post Grad Certificate in Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy at Leeds University. Matt has worked with organisations including Art in Motion, South Western Federation of Museums and Art Galleries, Bureau of Silly Ideas, Frozen Light Theatre, Hall For Cornwall, and UK Green Film Festival.
