Event description

Description

We all know when lifts and escalators go wrong because of the disruption they cause to our users, plus shutting them down for statutory inspections can be just as difficult. Section 3 of the Health and Safety at Work Act imposes general responsibilities, so far as reasonably practicable. As the risks for public use may be the same as when using lifts in connection with work, a similar regime of maintenance, inspection and examination to that required under LOLER and PUWER may be entirely 'reasonably practicable' in managing the risks. In any case, insurers may impose demands for similarly stringent levels of risk management to cover public liability.

Whether it is initial design, design review, submittal review, project management, equipment modernisation or repair, acceptance testing or “in service” inspection our expert speaker from Moveo has expertise to update the meeting on the best possible advice and guidance to meet your needs.

We will hear exactly what are the statutory requirements and the Duty Holder’s Responsibilities and an update on forthcoming changes and the implications

Moveo currently have 40 staff and 20 consultants in Europe and have delivered many world class buildings with world renowned architects including Sir Norman Foster, Renzo Piano, Rem Koolhaas and others.

We would like to thank EDF for hosting this event and providing refreshments and our speaker for sharing their knowledge and experience.
