What is the Hodder Valley Show?

The Hodder Valley Show is a traditional agricultural and horticultural show. It is a perfect family day out, with something for everyone to enjoy!

The show is hosted in Dunsop Bridge, Slaidburn or Newton on the second Saturday of September each year. This year, Dunsop Bridge is hosting the Hodder Valley Show.

Who are Breaking Cycles CIC?

Breaking Cycles is a Community Interest Company founded by Phil Wade in 2019. The organisation’s purpose is to support people improving their wellbeing through engaging in cycling and other outdoor activities.

Our services range from cycle training and engagement events, such as Big Bike Revival to targeted programmes which incorporate therapeutic methodologies and education as well as activities to support people in overcoming adversity and making significant changes in their lives.

What is Big Bike Revival?

The Big Bike Revival helps adults start cycling or ride again. Local grassroots organisations run events across England, making cycling available to all.

Events include opportunities to access led rides, get your bike fixed, learn maintenance skills or learn to ride. All of the events are free to attend.

Following this workshop, there will be an opportunity to put your skills to the test and put your name on the puncture repair leaderboard. Prizes for the fastest…

12:00 – Learn to Ride

The session will cover three main topics:

· Navigation & Route Planning

· Carrying Stuff

· Choosing the right type of bike for your needs

13:45 – Led eBike Ride

Join us for a led eBike ride on roads and Bridleway in the Hodder Valley.

6 eBikes are available to borrow (please book in advance) for those who don’t have their own.

You are also welcome to bring your own bike. We strongly recommend the use of an eBike for this ride.
