Event description

Description

Big Brum Theatre in Education company would like to invite artists with an interest in Theatre in Education to join us for 2 hour workshop exploring BIG BRUM'S TIE PROGRAMME with the Big Brum Company and Artistic Director, Richard Holmes.

To demonstrate how Big Brum work in schools we will be exploring the company's current programme: 'The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde'. Participants will see a full performance of the play with an interwoven TIE programme/workshop.

Big Brum has been delivering TIE programmes of the highest quality since 1982. We use theatre and drama alongside young people to make meaning of their lives and the world around them. The work has a strong theoretical basis: focussing artistically on the power of theatre images and dramatic action to create resonances and challenge us to new ways of thinking; whilst being educationally grounded in active learning and problem solving.

We will begin the workshop at 2.30pm so please begin to arrive at 2pm so we can start promptly. We end the session for 4.30pm.

This workshop is free of charge but there are limited spaces so you will need to book your place. This is on a first come, first serve basis.
