Here’s her bio…

Michelle Brooks' journey towards her dream career began when she trained in Drama at the Rose Bruford School of Speech and Drama. Here she developed her first taste of storytelling when she performed in Classics and developed her own sketches and characters for performance live on stage.

When an injury forced her to change career she took her love of storytelling behind the camera and embarked on a twenty year career in TV where she worked her way up to a Promo Producer making trailers for prime time TV favourites like Dr Who, Casualty, The Apprentice, Strictly Come Dancing at the BBC.

Michelle’s role meant she had to condense hours of programming into twenty, thirty or forty second narratives, build emotion and tension as well as captivate a busy viewing audience in the smallest of timeframes. Working to brief, presenting character, staying mindful of client budgets and still captivating the attention of a busy audience was a prime concern and in business you will require the same skill.

Other clients Michelle has worked with include Sky TV, Media Trust and more recently Twitter UK where Michelle was the first UK Live Video Producer and helped Production companies hone their proposition and stream their videos Live on the Twitter platform. Michelle is also a Broadcast Journalist and has Written, Produced and Directed several TV Series which she has pitched and secured funding for which include “Brides and Prejudice” and “Why Should I Get Married?” Both of which she went on to Present.

In 2011 Michelle’s was inspired by the lack of Diversity in the Industry to create the TV series "Black Women in the Media" which went on to achieve 9.2 million unique views online. Michelle Brooks has featured in Pride Magazine, The Voice Newspaper, Colourful FM and BBC Radio.
