Chris Liu, General Manager, BGI-Qingdao
Chris is the General Manager of BGI-Qingdao. He has served as the Country Manager at BGI-Dx UK, and previously as the Regional Manager at BGI-Europe. Chris graduated from Shandong Agricultural University with a degree in Plant Pathology, and has since worked in BGI after that.
Dr Grover Yu, Vice President, International Business Development, BGI Genomics
Grover Yu is the Vice President of International Business Development at BGI Genomics. Prior to this role, Grover held the position of Vice President at BGI Health, Europe and Regional Director at BGI Eruope. Grover graduated with a PhD in Genetics from Sichuan University.
Xin Jin, General Manager, BGI-online, BGI Genomics
Mr Jin joined BGI in 2009. Since then, he involved and led a series of important scientific research projects, including the International 1000 Genomes Project, the Sino-Danish Diabetes Project (LUCAMP), building the human pan-genome project, high altitude adaptation project and Autism Genome 10K project. Mr Jin has very rich hands-on experience in genomics research, next-generation sequencing, bioinformatics analysis and big project/data management.
Mr Jin has published 14 peer-reviewed scientific research papers on Cell, Nature, Science and other top scientific journals.
The event will include a discussion on China’s precision medicine, followed by an introduction to BGI’s recruitment.
