BIG LIGHT - In The Can

To celebrate the launch of BIG LIGHT, Merseyway Workshop's brand new photographic darkroom, we are hosting an exciting series of photographic and thematic workshops, made possible with support from UKSPF.

In this experimental workshop led by Joe Hartley, you will work as a group to create a limited edition set of photographic prints over the course of a mega exciting day. Spanning storytelling, sculpture, photography, photographic development and enlarging, this is not one to miss!

The workshop will take place between 10AM-4PM.

10AM-11:30AM: Introduction and collective storywriting.

11:30-12:30PM: Each participant creates a scene from the story using available materials (clay, timber, objects...)

12:30PM-1:30PM: Lunch

1:30PM-12:30PM: Photography of all scenes using Joe's Pentax 6x7 medium format film camera

2:30PM: Learn to develop and enlarge photographs in the darkroom. By the end of the workshop each participant will have a limited edition print featuring all 10 photographs taken by the group as part of the workshop.

Spots for this workshop are very limited. In the event that you are no longer able to attend, we ask that you let us know by email (info@merseywayworkshop.com) with as much notice as possible so that we are able to transfer your ticket to somebody else, rather than your spot going to waste.

This workshop contributes to a programme of events running alongside Amoeba's exhibition at Stockroom, launching on 29th January.
