Big Question: Celebrating language

The theme for our Big Question workshops this year is Developing a linguistic mindset; we are looking at what that means, why it matters and how we can create a learning environment which encourages it, to the benefit of our learners.

Workshop 4: Celebrating LanguageThursday 11 June 4.00 – 5.15In our final workshop of this series on the theme of Developing a Linguistic Mindset we will focus on celebrating all of the languages, brought and taught, that make up each of our classes, schools and communities. How can we foster a genuinely multilingual ethos in our learners, and what do they gain from that in terms of language learning, transferable skills and life skills? There will be lots of opportunity for discussion, hearing from our special guest practitioner Emma Caira, PT at Montrose Academy, and asking questions. Come and join us!
