About this event

A lighthearted gathering of a supportive and accepting group for girls, women, mothers, daughters, grandmothers, grand daughters, aunts, nieces and sisters of all ages to come together and hang out around the camp fire, have fun, play, craft, chat, eat and learn!

This November, we are very excited to be having a special extended Wild Moon session, with a Very Special Guest, Naturopath Rachel Boon. www.rachelboon.co.uk

With a clinic based in Worthing, and also online, Rachel is simply a breath of fresh air to the field of girls and womens health. Having met her a couple of times on various yoga trainings, I felt I had to invite her to come and speak! I found her wisdom to be profoundly life changing. It is intelligent, informative, and delivered in such a lovely down to earth way. Simple things which as girls and women, we can do to make our road through womanhood smoother.

She says this...

Professionally, I'm passionate about women fulfilling their true health potential through easy, affordable and sustainable diet and lifestyle adjustments alongside the magic that is bespoke herbal medicine.

This, along with a genuine fascination in human biology (my first degree) motivated me to gain my herbal medicine and naturopathy qualifications from CNM in 2005.

Since then, I've had the pleasure and honour of working with hundreds of women to help educate and guide them towards improved mind-body health.

I particularly enjoy working with sufferers of endometriosis, PMT, PMDD, PCOS and those struggling with their perimenopause and postmenopause.

I relish living in my healthy, (mostly!) pain-free, energetic body and if I'm not feeling 10 out of 10 each morning when I wake up, I am grateful I have the knowledge and the tools to do something about it.

My key life values are ease, honesty, adventure and abundance and I run everything through them before making any significant personal or professional decisions.

To have a business that aligns with my values is probably why I'm still excited about my work in the field of women's health 20 years on!

So we're taking the day to enjoy the shady woodland and taking time to relax and rest together at this busy time of year, with our beautiful community of women and girls. Rachel will share her expertise, she will take questions and we hope to open up a helpful and open dialogue around the camp fire which will enlighten and support us all. If there is an appetite, Suzy will be running a yoga walk / yatra / yoga nidra for some movement to complement the camp fire time.

About Wild Moon Afternoons...

We face a lot as women in the world today, and back in the day, we wouldn't have faced things alone in the ways we seem to do now. Our little tribe would have been there to turn to for all sorts of reasons - not least to tell us what on earth periods and child bearing and menopause are, and how we can work really powerfully with our female cycles no matter what stage of life we find ourselves in.

In modern life we seem so separate in many ways, orbiting many other people, but not really connected or supported. Why not join a community of women who already seem to weave together in different places and spaces, and each time building another layer of friendship and community.

Come and feel nurtured as part of a supportive female community. We have real wisdom, humour and talent in our midst. If you have a talent to share, bring it! A craft or a song, a biscuit or nothing at all!

We will shape these sessions as they go along - who knows where they will lead or what we will get up to, but they will follow a feminine flow!

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

We will be offering tickets to this event to cover Rachel's precious time, and the per person cost of hiring Frylands Wood, and refreshments. Under 2's go free as always. All our amazing staff team will still be volunteering their services for free to make this event go ahead, so it will still be a gift to you!

With that in mind, if you feel financially able, we offer you the opportunity to make a donation to Go Wild, (absolutely no obligation) which will help us pay for our other community based offers and will go towards things like staff uniform and the equipment which keeps us being able to do Wild Things! You can do this by making a payment of your choice to:

Account Name: Go Wild With Us UK

Account Number: 65809136

Sort Code 089299.

Please add a reference of 'Wild Moon Donation' if you can!

Bring snack to share and if you'd like to, you can bring something simple for lunch to cook on the fire like a tin of soup, hotdogs or beans. We have a toasting rack which you can toast cheese sandwiches or bread in too! There will be hot drinks available.

Bring the things you need for relaxation and comfort. Maybe a hat, a camping chair, a soft blanket, a cup for your coffee or tea and a journal to take notes.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Go Wild With Us is a Community Interest Company with a mission to try and reconnect people with nature and their own wildness. We believe that everyone needs regular contact with nature and the outdoors, and both research and personal experience tells us that being outdoors and spending time in nature is absolutely essential for good mental and physical well being.

We know that not everyone is lucky enough to have access to wild spaces all the time, but through our partnerships with local community groups and charities, we try to do our bit to enable children, young people and families from a variety of backgrounds to get some meaningful time out there in nature.
