Join 509 Arts for a free outdoor theatre show at The Orangery, Wakefield, exploring our long-term love affair with life on two wheels. Whether you're a pedal powered fanatic, a carbon-neutral commuter or a slow lane dawdler, Bike Story is for you.
Written by award-winning Mike Kenny and based on stories collected especially for the show, Bike Story is a tale of city streets, rural rides, of getting lost and Sunday trips, of the school run and the rusty bike.
Part of this summer's Yorkshire Festival 2014 celebrating the Tour de France in our region, Bike Story embraces epic and intimate moments using nothing more than the green energy of storytelling. The performance will start at 7pm, however doors will open from 6pm with a host of cycle-related pre-show entertainment and activities suitable for all ages. The Orangery Café Bar will also be selling refreshments from 6pm.
You can submit your own bike stories and pictures at www.bikestory.org.uk for a chance to become part of the show!
