Bikeability Cycle Safety Training
Rising Sun Countryside Centre, Meet in the Exhibition Room (opposite the Café)
This free, one day bikeability training course is led by qualified coaches from the North Tyneside Sports Development Team and is suitable for young people aged 9 to 14 years. It is designed to give young people the skills and confidence to ride on today’s roads. Bring your own roadworthy bike and helmet and a packed lunch. Wear sturdy footwear and a warm, waterproof jacket.
Young people should have passed or be confident with Bikeability Level 1 skills before booking onto this course. The course leaders will check bicycles and that all children are at this level before they can go ahead on the day. Yo need to bring your printed booking confirmation with you to the event or show it to the organiser on the day from your phone. Parents are required to stay with young people until this has been done and also to complete a Parental Permission form on arrival.
There is ample free parking just outside the Centre gates and disabled parking in the car park within the gates. The Countryside Centre has toilets, a Cafe and play areas should you wish to stay or bring other siblings while the course is running.
