San Francisco, California

The Flying Scotsman
The Bikeminded Film Club is back for a second year! It will be held in the unique art-decó lecture theatre at the Kensington Central Library, a cosy venue to watch cycling-themed films during the autumn and winter. There will be a screening the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm from October 2014 to April 2015, except for November (which is on a Monday) and obviously January. Did we mention that entrance is free?
For our penultimate screening we will show The Flying Scotsman, a film based on the incredible true story of Scottish amateur cyclist Graeme Obree, who breaks the world one-hour distance record on a bike he made out of washing machine parts. Obree not only challenges himself, but also the cycling establishment.
