Event description

Description

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Assessed Ride experience at Dewsbury Fire Station at 1.30 pm.

Assessed ride

Please aim to arrive a little before this start time to enable delegates to settle in and have a brew. The community room is a self-contained room on the ground floor with no access to any other parts of the fire station. There is no public access to the station for any members of the group. Toilet facilities are available.

The rider/coach ratio is 2:1, but this may be 1:1 depending on the number of delegates. Briefly, the session comprises of; a pre-ride brief, 30 to 40 minute observed ride, followed by a de-brief session with a written report and recommendations.

Riders must bring the following:

  • Road legal motorbike.

  • Suitable CE approved motorcycle protective clothing and helmet.

  • Relevant documents (MOT, Licence and insurance).

ROSPA, IAM and West Yorkshire Fire Service are all focussed on road safety and reducing the number of UK road casualties. Therefore, documents and vehicle checks will be undertaken before the ride. Unfortunately, we cannot facilitate an assessed ride where either the rider is not fit or their bike is unsuitable to undertake the training.

If you have any questions about this booking or have particular requirements, please email biker.down@westyorksfire.gov.uk .
