CFoIS would like to announce a series of briefings on the Bill, called ‘Bill Brunches’. These will be an hour long, taking place online, with CFoIS leading them.

In conjunction with Common Weal, the “FOI Reform - extending rights and strengthening duties” will explain and discuss the purpose and impact of the FoI Reform Bill which was introduced to the Scottish Parliament by Katy Clark MSP on 2nd June 2025.

The Campaign for Freedom of Information in Scotland (CFoIS) was established in 1984 to secure a legal right of access to information so that people could find out about how they are governed and how their services are delivered. We have been involved in all the major developments of the legislation at a Scottish level. CFoIS is independent of government and relies on donations and income generated through training.
