Event description

This course is focused on BIM & Geospatial Integration

If you are keen to align BIM with GIS, Geospatial, Survey, Geomatics etc we offer this course to YOU.

This course has been written by a career geospatial professional now working with BIM principals (according to BS/PAS 1192, ISO 19650 series).

Course Format: 1) You attend the 'BIM 101' course in London as a foundation. 2) Following this we provide you with 1-to-1 online consultancy with our Geospatial Lead to embed what you have learnt into your organisation. 3) We help you develop a 'Geospatial Strategy', processes and standards that are aligned to the needs of BIM according to ISO 19650 series. 4) We follow-up with you to help you raise-awarness, upskill and make BIM business-as-usual in your organisation. 5) We offer extra on-going mentoring (optional).

NOT A GEOSPATIAL PROFESSIONAL? Why not join us at our 'BIM 101' beginners’ course alone.

Alternative Locations:

On-site Training: We can offer this course on-site at your offices (or at a nearby location) for your colleagues, associates or clients. Contact us to learn more. Also, please get in touch if you are outside the UK, we are happy to discuss your needs.

"GeoEnable provides very impressive BIM training. The tutor was extremely knowledgeable and shows real expertise and experience in BIM field, and he is willing to help at all times even after the course. Very pleased with the service and will fully recommend."

"In November 2016 I attended the ‘BIM for Geospatial Professionals’ course run by GeoEnable.

The course was lively and engaging and I came away with exactly what I had hoped for: a clear understanding of what BIM is and how GIS fits into the BIM project framework and workflow, an insight into the challenges experienced within a BIM project, resources to further my knowledge and also some ideas of how I can develop my technical skills to be better prepared for future work.

It was a theory based course and would give other technically minded people the context they might not necessarily have but would definitely benefit from."

  • Who is this for? This course is for existing Geospatial and Geomatics Professionals, such as CAD modellers, GIS, mapping, geotechnical, remote sensing & survey professionals, who wants to learn more about BIM and Digital Engineering.

  • Your experience level with wider BIM concepts: Novice (little experience)

  • Course Style: Classroom Seminar (tutor taught with interactive sessions) and Post-course online Consultation. This course is not a hands-on technical training session.

  • BIM and Asset Information - In this course BIM is used in the widest sense - for information modelling/management, process improvement and organisational change management, it's NOT just about 3D/4D models. It's about understanding how Digital Construction / VDC and Digital Engineering fits with existing Geospatial disciplines and techniques. As well as understanding the need for the whole-life cycle management (physical) assets requires the whole-life cycle management of asset information.

  • Exclusive Session: Places are limited to ensure best learning outcomes with a small group.

  • Lunch included: This course includes lunch and tea & coffee throughout the day.

  • Tutor: The Tutor is a very experienced geospatial information management and digital transformation specialist with almost 20 years' experience of strategic definition, Project Management & hands-on solutions implementation, particularly within the Built Environment and Natural Environment sectors.

His background is in mapping, Geospatial solutions and GIS, but now consults on Information Management (IM) in the widest context. Most often he works with Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Owner Operator (AECOO) clients - such as property developers, Rail and Utilities companies.

  • 08:30 to 09:15 - Arrivals and Coffee

  • 09:30 - Course Start

  • 12:30 - Lunch (included in fee)

We encourage you to take these follow-up calls to gain greater value from your learning experience.
