Description

Living and working in the digital world: how building design, construction, and operations are being transformed

Charting progress in the UK’s ambition to create a digital, integrated approach to the built environment and a digital economy for infrastructure, buildings, and services. Showcasing how the construction industry and operations management professionals approach social and economic infrastructure through the use of digital technology. From understanding the needs of users to enable ‘right first time’ delivery, to providing buildings and infrastructure as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Focussing on how we plan, build, maintain and use that infrastructure, as well renew and replace existing built assets, the conference will examine making better use of buildings, with the aim of providing improved social outcomes, increased productivity and sustainable growth. It will feature the Scottish Government’s latest thinking on BIM and how it can extend its benefits into other sectors, such as technology and smart cities.

Join the discussion online: #BIMScot19

The event will provide insight into new and emerging technologies as well as being a forum for delegates to learn, share and deliberate, to discover new processes, make new contacts and maximise the full BIM potential of your company or organisation. Including speakers from Scottish Government, Scottish Futures Trust, Construction Scotland Innovation Centre, Scottish Enterprise, UK BIM Alliance, plus a keynote from property industry digital transformation specialist James Dearsley.

Themes:
• Putting in place the foundations for tomorrow’s digital infrastructure technology through improved information management systems for our assets.
