Event description

Description

Is there a way to digest the intricate but necessary BIM process? Yes…perhaps with a bit of Tonic!

Join us in an enlightening and inspirational evening that will take you through the essentials of BIM and show you how various Levels are delivered on real projects.

Your guides in the world of BIM will be two exceptional speakers:

Mike Shilton - Chair of the Landscape Institute Digital Practice Group & Product Director at Keysoft Solution, Mike has been an active member of the Digital Practise Group since its inception in 2012. Mike contributed to the “BIM for Landscape” book, which he helped project manage to publication, and has been heavily involved with its subsequent promotion. Mike has been working with other experts to offer advice and guidance to the profession in respect of BIM and emerging digital techniques in relation to landscape design and construction. Mike is a chartered member of landscape architect and Product Director at Keysoft Solutions, where he provides the focus for future development of their BIM enabled, traffic management and landscape design software. Mike will explore the technical, nitty-gritty side of BIM and introduce us to the inevitable Level 2.

Matthew Smith - BIM manager for Concertus design and Property Consultants, Matt will bring his experiance of implementing BIM into the practise's multidisciplinary projects to the seminar, sharing real life examples.

So join us in the vibrant atmosphere of the Espresso Library in Cambridge as, despite pillars, standards & protocols, roles & responsibilities, software mixes, we’ll try the real taste of BIM & Tonic!

Registration open at 18:15 for a 18:30 start. Food and drinks will be served during the seminar and after!
