Event description

Description

Join your peers on 15 May for an evening of fine dining and animated debate at the second annual BIMA Scotland Digital Leaders Dinner, with special guest, Mark Bevan, CEO, Scottish Council for Development and Industry (SCDI).

As we enter the forth industrial revolution Mark is keen that the SCDI engages with the BIMA community to open the discussion to help shape the strategic leadership required identify the opportunities that lie ahead. The SCDI welcomes the know-how and digital insights from our community and would like to ensure we have a voice in how policy develops. The aim of the dinner is to cover issues such as education, innovation, technology partnerships and leading the way in data ethics – addressing the concerns and challenges as well at the opportunities.

As the SCDI develops its Commission on the Fourth Industrial Revolution this is a unique opportunity for the BIMA community to input our expertise into the review of long term policy options for inclusive digital growth.

Places are strictly limited at this roundtable event so please book early to take part in evening of lively discussion with new contacts (and old), with great food and wine to boot.

About the SCDI
SCDI is a not for profit membership organisation. Their 1000 members include household names, businesses large and small alongside charities, universities, trades unions and public bodies. They are interested in growing Scotland’s economy together in a way which benefits everyone.

The SCDI challenges its members and stakeholders to think further ahead and to take responsibility as architects of our shared economic future

They have very close links with, but are entirely independent of, UK and Scottish Government.

They founded Hillington Industrial Estate, led the first trade missions to China and Russia and more recently built a coalition to ensure Scotland benefits from the UK Industrial Strategy
