The Horse & Plough is host to our next brilliant Bingham Comedy Club on the 2nd October 2025!

Check out this astonishing lineup:

Ian Whitcombe (MC)
Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Taskmaster and Britain’s Got Talent are just a few of the programmes Ian’ has never appeared on. The list is literally endless!

Groan-inducing puns, sparkling one-liners and stories about where doctors like to put their fingers mean that this act is a must-see.

Ian’s one-liners are well thought out, clever and genuinely laugh out loud’ – Oli Clarke, Toolmakers Comedy Club

Ian has a natural & likeable stage presence with good pacing and nice jokes’ – Greg Phillips – Laffa Cake Comedy

Alex Mitchell (Headliner)

Alex Mitchell really burst on to the scene on Britain’s Got Talent in 2024, where he made the final ! Alex is an autistic comic with functional neurological disorder (FND). He uses self-deprecating humour – laughing at himself, his neurodivergence, disability and sexuality – to reflect on some of the most difficult subjects within his own life and wider society.

Rich Austin (Opener)

Based in Hull, Rich Austin has been making audiences laugh since 2010 with his sharp writing, confident delivery, and knack for turning the unexpected into a killer punchline. He runs and comperes the award-winning Cottingham Comedy Club, and regularly performs across the UK at pro nights for Buzz Comedy, LOL Comedy, Funhouse Comedy, Comedy Lounge Hull and more.

A Beat The Frog winner and Hull Comedian of the Year runner-up, Rich has also debuted his solo show Speedophile at Hull Comedy Festival. Known for his warm, intelligent wit and inventive material, he’s a dependable act whether opening, closing or hosting.

“Clever, creative and very funny. Perhaps even one of the best jokes I’ve heard this year.” – Notts Comedy Review
“Rich Austin has a cool and confident command of warm intelligent wit.” – John Agraman Marshall, Buzz Comedy

Rich McCulloch (Middle)

Rich McCulloch is an award-winning musical comedian bringing surreal storytelling, theatrical chaos, and finely crafted bangers to the UK comedy circuit. With a flair for the absurd and a cardigan that defies health and safety guidelines, he blends obscure millennial pop culture references, original songs, and elaborate prop work into a genre-fluid fever dream of a set.

Since winning the Lawrence Batley Theatre’s New Act of the Year in 2025, he’s been nominated for Best Newcomer and Best Alternative Act at the Yorkshire Comedy Awards. Whether he’s your cup of tea or not, you won’t forget him in a hurry.

– “Genuinely brilliant. Stage presence and hilarious songs!” (Micky P. Kerr, Britain’s Got Talent)
– “Novel, outside of the norm, and sells his material excellently” (Notts Comedy Review)

Debbie Holt (Middle)

Debbie is a new, up and coming act, who is rapidly ascending up the comedy ladder. Debbie offers something a little different to the laddy humour which can dominate a gig, so she's definitely worth a watch!

Please be advised that our comedy line-ups are subject to change. Our talented comedians are in high demand and, on occasion, may need to cancel at short notice for television or radio recordings, among other reasons. Rest assured, we will always provide a replacement act of similar quality to ensure that our guests receive a great overall show experience.

While most of our guests come for the entire show, we understand that some may be travelling to see a particular comedian. If that’s the case, we recommend checking our website on the day of the show or joining our mailing list to receive the latest updates on any changes to the line-up. We’re committed to providing our guests with the best possible experience, and we thank you for your understanding.
