Description

A theatrical and musical presentation of Bengali heart-rending and a hugely popular folk ballad that profoundly connects biblical story of temptation and other mythical stories from the global sources. The story unfolds the tragedy of unerasable human fate through viscerally wounding folk-music of Bengal.

Binond, a Gallinule hunter, maddeningly chased the bird Gallinule wood after wood in the Marsh (Haowr) Hakaluki. He didn't pay heed to the warning given by his mother, sister and fellow shepherds. Eventually while he found the bird about to have in his hand, a deadly venomous snake (kaal-Naag) then had bitten him that led Binond die tragically. The story is theatrically interwoven through the synergy with other similar myths from global sources along with biblical story of tempation.

The is an R & D format of the hugely popular, Bengali folk musical play called Binonder Kiccha.

This experimental, theatrical production is adapted and authored by T M Ahmed Kaysher. It features Eric Schelander, Amal Podder, Luthfur Rahmn etc.
