Wet Willow Wildlife Bioblitz– A Family Nature Adventure This Summer
Looking for an exciting way to enjoy the outdoors with your family this summer holiday?Join us for a Bioblitz – a fun and interactive event where families explore nature together, searching for and recording as many plants and animals as possible in a short period of time.
This is more than just a nature walk. It's your chance to become a Citizen Scientist, helping contribute valuable data that supports real conservation work across Greater Manchester. Whether you're spotting colourful wildflowers, buzzing bees, hopping frogs, or maybe even the rare willow tit, every observation counts. We’re hosting four Bioblitz sessions across two days within Greater Manchester at Astley, Irlam and Bolton.
What’s a Bioblitz?
A Bioblitz is an exciting way to connect with nature. You'll work alongside friendly guides to explore natural habitats like meadows, grasslands, and woodlands, using the free iNaturalist app to record your wildlife discoveries.
This event is part of the Wet Willow Wildlife Project – our Species Survival Fund initiative restoring and protecting wet willow habitats to help support a wide range of wildlife. Your participation will directly contribute to this important work.
