About this event
In this masterclass, delivered by Claire Rooney of Field Studies Council, will explore biodiversity literacy for the housing sector.
We will explore the role of biodiversity where we live: from shared green spaces, planting schemes, and wildlife corridors, to pollinator-friendly habitats, tree cover, soil health, and the wider environmental value of our neighbourhoods.
The session is aimed at those working in retrofit, community engagement, asset management, and sustainability, and will improve your biodiversity literacy and highlight how retrofitting homes can go hand-in-hand with creating greener, more biodiverse neighbourhoods.
Agenda:
- What biodiversity means in a housing and retrofit context
- How to talk about biodiversity with residents and colleagues
- Practical ideas for supporting biodiversity around existing homes, gardens, and estates
This event will be hosted online on Microsoft Teams and a link to join the event is included on Eventbrite.
