Will my feet get wet?

Accepted Answer

You will have a better experience if you wear long wellies or similar waterproof footwear. Wellies are available, free of charge, to use during the walk and must be reserved when you book your tickets, to ensure that they are  ready for you at the venue.

Question 2

Will the walk go ahead if it is raining on the night?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the walk will go ahead unless the weather conditions are deemed unsafe. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Waterproof jackets and trousers are available for use, free of charge, during the walk and must be reserved when you book your tickets so that they are ready for you at the venue.

What time do I need to arrive at the venue?

Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes early, especially if you have reserved wellies and/ or waterproofs. The tide will not wait for us, and unless the circumstances are exceptional, the walk will start on time. Please contact the organiser directly if you are held up. No shows will not be refunded.

Question 4

Where do we meet and how do we find the guide?

Your guide will park as close as possible to the middle of the roadside car park, near the steps down onto the beach, and will be close to a white van with a sign on the bonnet which has Intertidal Walks info on it. There may be other groups gathering, so ask for ‘Lou’ if you are unsure.

Can I bring my dog(s) on the walk?

Dogs are not permitted on the walk. The organiser aims to provide the best experience possible for all ‘Intertidaleers’, and minimise damage to the environment during the walk. Some people are afraid of dogs, and sometimes even the best trained dog can misbehave. Please leave them at home.
