Come and join artist, Hannah Whittaker for an afternoon of co-creation at The Pump House on Friday 19th September.
Participants are invited to come and create a large white flower sculpture, either working individually or as a group, under the guidance of artist Hannah Whittaker.
Using projection mapping, each handmade flower is then illuminated with glowing patterns created from archival and contemporary imagery of the Royal Docks—textures, maps, and footage that reflect the area's past and present - each participant will choose the images and colours that will decorate their creation. The result is a vibrant, living artwork featuring all the final flowers together in a large installation that will be displayed on 4th October at Bow Arts, Royal Albert Wharf as part of the Royal Docks festival programme.
This participatory event invites visitors of all ages to reflect on the transformation of the Docks - from industrial port to cultural landmark - while becoming part of the story themselves. Come make, connect, and watch your flower light up the night.
