Formed in partnership with the worlds largest library: The British Library, together with Southampton City Council and the Business and IP Centre (BIPC) Southampton: the BIPC Southampton Launch Summit is an exclusive virtual event celebrating the launch of the new BIPC Southampton, bringing together the best entrepreneurial talent the city has to offer.

What is the BIPC?

The BIPC is an entrepreneurial hub - which helps to support entrepreneurs, business owners, start-ups, side-hustlers, creatives, freelancers and/or anyone with an idea to do start something. It was formed as a result of a partnership between The British Library and Southampton City Council.

How does it support entrepreneurs?

The Business and IP Centre (BIPC) Southampton provides support to entrepreneurs by:

Providing over £5M of free market research access to help entrepreneurs make the best business decisions.

Providing free co-working spaces to give entrepreneurs all they need to have a productive day at work.

Offering the highest (150 mb/s) professional quality wi-fi for our users for free, helping them use the web to grow their practice without delay.

Providing with free access to industry-standard resources, saving them time and money and unlocking their potential.

Resources include:

The SellersHub: a dedicated space, equipped with a professional studio camera, lighting and backdrop, to help people who sell on sites such as eBay, Vinted or Depop to take quality product photographs.

The PhotoHub: an inhouse studio where members of the public can take professional quality headshots for their LinkedIn, CV or business.

The CreatorsHub: a dedicated space fully equipped with a professional mic, a ring light and camera to help provide aspiring content creators with all they need to create exceptional videos for their audience.

Where is it located?

The Business and IP Centre (BIPC) Southampton is located on the first floor of Southampton Central Library - in the Civic Centre. However, the BIPC Launch Summit WILL NOT TAKE PLACE at the BIPC - it is EXCLUSIVELY ONLINE.

What is the launch summit?

The BIPC Launch Summit landmarks the official launch of the BIPC Southampton. We will be gathering a special community of entrepreneurial talent in Southampton called ‘BIPC Community Local Ambassador’s - informing them of the new BIPC service, learning how BIPC can help them achieve their goals. Ambassadors will hear from prestigious guest speakers such as - and will receive a partner-backed certificate amongst other exclusive rewards.
