Organisers
The BiPP Network is a registered non-profit organisation led by Black and Asian mental health professionals, and students in medicine, psychology and behavioural sciences-related degrees who aim to prioritise and advance the representation of Black and ethnic minority backgrounds in psychiatry and psychology.
We demonstrate our commitment to achieving this aim by hosting panel discussions, talks, presentations and workshops which address issues of racial inequalities in the mental health field, as well as providing a community for registered and prospective Black and ethnic minority mental health professionals to access social, emotional, psychological and developmental support.
Since our inception in September 2019, we have been successful in hosting more than 20 events which, combined, have attracted over 1000 students and mental health professionals. We have also collected data on racialised minorities experiences, with plans to publish reports, provide advice and share knowledge to aspiring Black and ethnic minority psychologists in our recent #NewFaceofPsychology social media campaign.
