This event is a part of the Reuniting Sydenham Hill Wood and Dulwich Wood project...
Part of the vast Great North Wood landscape, these two woodlands are precious remnants of what was once an ancient forest spanning the boroughs of Croydon, Bromley, Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham. By reuniting them under the same programme of management, we can better protect and restore local wildlife, ensuring our communities enjoy these green gems for generations to come🌲
Did you know that Sydenham Hill Wood has seen all three species of British woodpecker - great spotted, green, and lesser spotted? 🐦⬛
The delivery of the Reuniting Sydenham Hill Wood and Dulwich Wood Project is made possible by our funders and partners: The National Lottery Heritage Fund, The Dulwich Estate, Southwark Council and The Kusuma Trust.
