Event description

Description

Join Andy Chapman on this wildlife walk around St Aidan’s to learn more about the birds that make their home here. The walks will change with the seasons; in August we'll be looking for the last of our summer visitors before they head off on migration, as well as some possible rarer migrant species. In October the focus shifts to how to identify the huge range of ducks and wildfowl which migrate from the North to overwinter.

This is a lovely introduction to the basics of birdwatching and identification, it also includes a bacon, sausage or egg bap and hot drink to warm up and chat at the end.

This walk should last approximately two and a half hours, please dress for the weather with good footwear.

Please bring your membership cards to show at the time of the event.

We ask that you don't bring your dogs due to the nature of the event; they may make it more difficult for the group to spot wildlife.
