Our Mini Open Day is a chance for you to visit our campus, hear from staff and students about what it's like to study at Birkbeck and find out why record numbers of students are choosing to study at London’s evening university.
What will happen at the event?
Welcome Talk - 1pm to 2pm
This introductory talk will provide you with general information about what makes Birkbeck so special. It will cover the UCAS application process, fees & funding, careers & employability and the fantastic student services available to Birkbeck students and graduates.
Campus Tour - 2pm to 3pm
Our current undergraduate students will show you around our campus, located in the heart of beautiful Bloomsbury in central London. You will be able to get a feel for Birkbeck and will have the chance to ask our students questions along the way.
Student Life and Q&A - 3pm to 4pm
Are you wondering what it’s really like to be a Birkbeck student in London? In this session, current undergraduate students will give you an insight into what life is like at London's evening university. This informal talk will be followed by a Q&A with the students.
Who is the event for?
If you are thinking of applying through UCAS to study a full-time undergraduate degree, our Mini Open Day is the perfect opportunity to get to know Birkbeck before sending off your UCAS application. If you are a school leaver, it is also a great chance to hear from current like-minded students about how Birkbeck's evening study works for them.
Where will the event start?
Upon arrival, please go to the reception of Birkbeck's main building on Torrington Square at 1pm, where you will be greeted by staff and student ambassadors wearing blue t-shirts. Once you have booked, we will send you some further information about the event and how to find Birkbeck.
Please note that academic staff will not be available at this event, however we will be happy to put you in contact with the relevant department should you have any subject-specific queries. If you have any questions about our Mini Open Day or would like to get in touch, please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org.
Why choose Birkbeck?
An increasing number of highly motivated school leavers and college students are choosing Birkbeck because they want to boost their careers from the outset, by gaining workplace experience while they study, rather than waiting until they graduate.
Studying in the evening enables our younger students to experience the workplace, often for the first time, and we provide support and guidance to help those students thrive both during and after their studies.
Still deciding what to study?
If you can't make this event, why not book onto one of the campus tours we run monthly?
