Description

This event will be led by Phil Frampton who will be signing copies of his book, “The Golly in the Cupboard”. The book will be available to purchase. Please indicate if you are interested in buying a copy when booking onto the event.

Phil Frampton - Having delivered lectures and seminars to social work, nursing and health students for over 10 years, to students at London Metropolitan University, around the themes of child protection, children in care and care leavers; Phil was made Honorary Doctor in Philosophy in 2016. Phil was the Chair of Care Leavers Association 2000-2003, and has fought tirelessly for the rights of Care Leavers and recognition for survivors of abuse in children’s homes. In 2014 Phil, as a part of a group of survivors and child protection specialists, set up the Whiteflowers Campaign for justice, who have been instrumental in ensuring the Government’s Inquiry into Child Abuse is conducted fairly and with survivors at the heart of it.

It will take place On Thursday 23rd March 6.30-8.30pm at University College Birmingham, McIntyre house, 2 Holland Street, Birmingham, B3 1PW.

This event is free to attend and students, members and non-members are welcome.
