In December, Birmingham City Council publishes its detailed budget proposals for 2016+.

As part of the range in ways in which you can have a say, we’re inviting you to join council cabinet members and council officers to discuss our proposals. Please come along.

The formal budget consultation will start on 9 December and run until 8 January 2016. Residents will also have the chance to send in their views via an online survey, post, text and putting questions to council cabinet members via webcasts. More than 350 people have already been sharing their views at a series of community workshops held in November around the city’s ten districts.

The city council needs to change and we have less money to spend on services, so the council of 2020 will look very different to the council today.
