In order to assist NASUWT members who may be approaching or considering retirement, the Union has asked Wesleyan to present a number of pre-retirement financial planning seminars.
Designed specifically for members aged 50-64, these events will provide a valuable opportunity to learn more about:
- the benefits available to you and your loved ones from the Teachers’ Pension Scheme
- the flat-rate State Pension, which replaced the Basic State Pension in April 2016, and how your entitlement is determined
- strategies for ensuring you maximise your retirement income
- whether early retirement could be an option for you.
At the seminar you will be able to raise any specific questions you may have and, if appropriate, request a further no-obligation, one to one, meeting with your local Wesleyan Financial Consultant.
You are welcome to bring a partner, friends or colleagues to the seminar so long as additional complimentary tickets are booked. Light refreshments will be provided before the start of each seminar.
