Interested in the dark fantasy fiction of such writers as MR James, Shirley Jackson and Stephen King? Or perhaps the horror films of George Romero, Sam Raimi and Guillermo del Toro?
From Bride of Frankenstein to It Follows, The Haunting of Hill House to The Books of Blood, The Twilight Zone to Ash vs Evil Dead, the Birmingham Horror Group offers a relaxed forum for all fans of the genre to meet and discuss their favourite writers, artists and film-makers, with occasional special guest appearances from leading creators.
You can read more about our activities at the Group's website.

David A Sutton: Author, Editor, Publisher
October's special guest is David A Sutton, co-editor of the award-winning magazine Fantasy Tales, as well as such anthologies as Dark Voices: The Pan Book of Horror and Dark Terrors: The Gollancz Book of Horror. His own stories have appeared in Best New Horror, The Black Book of Horror and The Mammoth Book of Werewolves.
During a career stretching back to the 1960s, David's work (often in collaboration with Stephen Jones) has earned him a World Fantasy Award, an International Horror Guild Award and no fewer than twelve British Fantasy Awards. This period is explored in On the Fringe for Thirty Years: A History of Horror in the British Small Press, issued by his own imprint Shadow Publishing (with an introduction by Stan Nicholls, our special guest back in April).
