Birmingham Royal Ballet Training Development Programme
The Ballet Development Programme is a series of ten monthly coaching sessions for eight- to 18-year-olds, taught by Birmingham Royal Ballet Principal Dancer Samara Downs and Soloist Arancha Baselga at the Company's studios in Birmingham.
The programme will support the development of ballet technique, performance skills, confidence, drama and acting skills and repertoire, and provide an insight into the workings of a professional ballet company.
The programme aims to assist young dancers to achieve their full potential, offering an insight into the work involved in being a professional ballet dancer and the workings of a professional ballet company. The sessions aim to make Birmingham Royal Ballet's current repertoire known and accessible, and will be taught by Birmingham Royal Ballet company dancers and accompanied by a pianist.
We hope that the sessions will be inspirational and enjoyable, whilst nurturing talent and passion for dance.
