RSA Commercial Awareness Workshop, Birmingham
Thursday 17 November 2016, from 1:30pm - 5pm
Impact Hub Birmingham, Walker Building, 58 Oxford St, Birmingham B5 5NR
Students working on the 2016/17 RSA Student Design Awards competition briefs are invited to attend a free workshop to improve commercial and business understanding through a series of interactive activities. One of the activities will focus on equipping participants with the confidence and skill to develop a business case, which is an additional submission requirement for the Re-work brief. The session will be facilitated by RBS and the RSA Design team and will include a free lunch on arrival.
All RSA Student Design Awards participants are welcome to register and attend but priority will be given to students working on the Re-work brief to help them prepare for the business case requirement. This is a free event, but advance booking is essential. You are required to provide your own transport to and from the venue (regrettably we are unable to pay transport costs).
Hope to see lots of you there,
RSA Student Design Awards team
When & Where
RSA Student Design Awards
The RSA Student Design Awards (SDA) is the world’s longest standing, most pioneering design curriculum and competition for university students and new graduates, having run for over 90 years.
Each year we issue project briefs that challenge emerging designers to tackle social, environmental and economic issues through design thinking.
We work closely with industry partners to develop the briefs, we help colleges and universities embed them in their curricula, and we support participants through workshops and mentoring.
Award winners receive practical and financial support to launch their careers - including paid industry placements, mentoring from industry experts and connections to the RSA's global network of 27,000 Fellows.
