Antenatal course running over two weeks, lasting approximately 2.5 hours per session.

This course is for women booked to give birth at Whipps Cross hospital.
PLEASE READ ALL THIS INFORMATION
Please book ONE ticket per couple & please cancel your ticket promptly if no longer required, so that someone else can take your space.
We recommend you aim to participate in these classes when you are around 32-34 weeks pregnant.
Course content:
Monday 6th June - 09:30am - 12:00pm - Session 1: Birth settings, preparing for birth, physiology of labour and birth and coping with labour.
Tuesday 7th June - 09:30am - 12:00pm - Session 2: Deviations from ‘normal’, medical intervention and pharmacological pain relief.
Monday 13th June - 09:30am - 12:00pm - Session 3: What to expect in the postnatal period: postnatal care and recovery and care of the newborn.
Tuesday 14th June - 09:30am - 12:00pm -Session 4: Infant feeding & relationship building (based on UNICEF Baby Friendly).
By booking a ticket you are registering to participate in ALL 4 sessions.
Each class lasts approximately two and a half hours, including breaks.
You will receive an email with details on how to log in a couple of days before the start of each session. Please also check your junk mail for the Microsoft Teams invitation!
The course aims to be an interactive, safe space for you to ask questions and actively participate.
