Event description

Description

2017 is a very special year for Bahá’ís, as it represents 200 years since the birth of Bahá’u’lláh, the founder of the Bahá’í Faith.

Bahá’u’lláh was born in 1817 in Tehran, the capital city of Persia (Iran), and devoted Himself to the upliftment and education of the people. He proclaimed the oneness of the world of humanity and taught that all are created and nourished by the one loving and merciful God

The Bahá’í Community of Islington invites you to join us, and Bahá’í communities around the globe, in celebrating this special occasion with music, storytelling and uplifting conversations followed by Afternoon tea. This is an event open to all so please feel free to invite friends and family.

"IT IS NOT FOR HIM TO PRIDE HIMSELF WHO LOVETH HIS OWN COUNTRY, BUT RATHER FOR HIM WHO LOVETH THE WHOLE WORLD. THE EARTH IS BUT ONE COUNTRY, AND MANKIND ITS CITIZENS."
- BAHÁ’U’LLÁH

This is a trailer for a film we will be screening later in the year about the Personage of Baha'u'llah and His Teachings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du72xUajJQI&t=3s
