Welcome to Birth Preparation and Beyond! Join us for an informative and interactive event at St Michael's Children and Family Centre. Here at George Eliot Hospital, we aim to help prepare, educate, and empower with our antenatal classes designed for expectant mothers and their birthing partners. Classes are open to everyone whether you’re expecting your first baby or have been through a pregnancy journey before.

This is a 4-week course made up of 2-hour sessions each week. Please attend all 4 sessions to complete the course.

What to Expect:

  • Preparing for Labour: Making a birth plan, exploring different options, what to pack, getting ready for labour and signs of labour.
  • Giving Birth: Learn about the stages of labour, how is your baby birthed, pain management and positions for birth.
  • Postnatal Care: Help and information about caring for you and your baby after the birth, including physical recovery and emotional well-being for new mothers.

Our classes are interactive, informative, and designed to build confidence. Whether this is your first baby or you're looking to refresh your knowledge, we are here to support you and your birthing partner through your journey.
