The Birth Rites Collection holds a biennial competition for new works . Following a selection process by Charlotte Jansen, editor-at-large at Elephant, Hermione Wiltshire, BRC associate artist and lecturer at the Royal College of Art and BRC Curator, Helen Knowles. Selected artists are;

Aimee Gilmore, Alison Flora, Anna Perach, Cassie Arnold, Franciszka Jagielak & Aleksandra Klimek-Lipnicka, Helen Benigson , Hollie Miller, Isabelle Zumbrink, Jennifer Long, Katherine Lovett, Marta Styask, Michelle Hartney, Ruby Bateman, Stillyana Minkovska, Ukhona Mlandu

Their work will be premiered during the Birth Rites Collection Summer School as an open online screening, free to attend via ZOOM and VIMEO. The winner will be announced by Charlotte Jansen on the night.

The winning artist's work will become a permanent part of the Birth Rites Collection, featured as a constant on the Birth Rites website and installed alongside the other artworks in the collection. In addition, the winning artist will receive a stipend of £250 and the chance to undertake a residency with the midwifery department at King's College, London.
