Mary Goodchild, Parent-Infant Therapist, will share valuable insights to support professionals working with people that have experienced birth trauma.

The training will cover the following topics: causes of birth trauma, how to recognize signs of birth trauma, how birth trauma affects relationships, and available treatments. Additionally, the training will provide guidance on how to offer support.

After a career in midwifery, Mary graduated as a counsellor in order to support women and their families affected by loss or trauma in childbirth.

Mary has worked with PSS for the last 10 years and provided specialist psychological support to those affected by birth trauma, anxiety, depression and difficulties with the Parent-Baby relationship. She is a qualified VIG practitioner and a certified Birth Trauma Resolution practitioner.
