Yoga for pregnancy is really about nurturing the mother. It is taking the time to connect with your baby and to help ease some of those pregnancy symptoms to allow you to enjoy your pregnancy as much as possible.
It is suitable from about 14 weeks to birth. You do not need any previous knowledge or experience of yoga to participate in Birthlight yoga. These classes are specifically designed to be fun, safe and effective yoga for the whole of the 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy. Classes include the usual elements of traditional Hatha Yoga. We learn: adapted classic yoga poses (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), sound practices (mantra), positive visualisation and guided relaxation (often in the form of Yoga Nidra).
My usual term time schedule resumes from Friday 9 September 2016. Please note this class has had a waiting list for some time. I recommend you contact me to place your name on the waiting list as early in your pregnancy as possible – ideally around 7-10 weeks as it can take a month or so before I can offer you place. This yoga is most effective if you practice what you learn in class throughout your 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Please be aware there are no substitutions nor refunds for missed classes; do check you can attend before committing.

SEPT/OCT BLOCK: 9, 23 September; 7, 21 October – if committing to the whole block, the rate is £10/class = £40, if committing to part of the block the individual class rate of £13 pre-paid, applies.
NOV/DEC BLOCK: 4, 18 November; 2, 16 December – if committing to the whole block, the rate is £10/class = £40, if committing to part of the block the individual class rate of £13 pre-paid, applies.
