BITC Cymru Insights: The issues driving business
Tue 9 May 2017, 17:15 – 18:30 BST
Whilst events can affect your business in the short term, it is the big issues facing our society, communities, people and environment which ultimately shape your business over the long term.
Through our series of BITC Cymru Insights events, we will be bringing the latest responsible business thinking, speakers and topical analysis to bear on the events which are driving business in Wales today.
In May we will be joined by Debra Gers (Senior Practice Lawyer, Blake Morgan) who will be presenting her thoughts on the mental health of employees - and specifically, best practice and proactive steps that companies can take in the workplace. It is well documented now that mental ill health costs the Welsh economy c. £7bn a year and further that 1 in 4 people will be effected by poor mental health in their lifetime. Further, by 2020 mental ill health related problems will be second to heart disease as the leading contributor to the global burden of disease (WHO).
This is an issue which is driving change within business today - so please join us and colleagues to find out more. Our Insights events are an ideal networking opportunity for yourself and colleagues, so please do bring your network to meet our network. However places are limited, so please book as soon as possible to secure your space.
This BITC Cymru Insights event is kindly being hosted by KIN + ILK. Wine and canapes will be served on arrival.
