Bite Size Business Seminars - IP
For a technical innovation to reach market and have an impact on people’s lives, further investment is usually required “beyond the lab”. It is rare that investors will provide such funds without proper intellectual property (IP) being in place.
This important topic is being reviewed as part of the 'Bite Size' Business Seminars taking place at Norwich Research Park.
Delivered by Dr Peter Wilson, a UK and European Patent Attorney and former Research Scientist with the Institute of Food Research (IFR) this session provides give an overview of IP systems, with a focus on patent protection. As well as examining how to protect your own research, the issue of other people’s rights (Freedom to Operate) will also be discussed.
Developed in conjunction with Norwich Business School and a host of industry professionals, the Bite Size Business Seminars are ideal for researchers, students and new entrepreneurs who keen to engage but do not have time to attend long training courses.
Each session is focused on a specialist subject and provides the opportunity to gain insights and knowledge from industry experts. Seminars run on a fortnightly basis and can be booked on an individual basis.
