This course is delivered by Halesowen College

Learning aim:

To enable learners to understand:

  • How to create a graph in Excel and apply an appropriate layout, locations and formatting
  • How to add Trendlines and Data labels to a graph
  • How to create a dynamic link between Word and a chart in Excel
  • Some ways in which graphs can be customised (e.g. a Breakeven Chart or Pictograph)

Outcomes:

The learner will be able to go back to their workplace and be able to:

  • Create and format a simple graph in Excel
  • Add a trendline and/or data labels to a graph
  • Place a copy of a graph into a Word document with a dynamic link to Excel
  • Apply some customisation to a chart

Exercises are designed for those with a basic knowledge of Excel
