This session will cover the fundamental tax and accounting requirements for all small businesses to ensure that business owners have an understanding of what they must do.

In this workshop, you’ll learn about:
From Sole Trader and Ltd Company to LLP, different business structures suit difference businesses. Each structure has its own tax and accounting requirements. We will discuss each, the suitability and the obligations coming with them.
Once we have established which taxes you are eligible to pay we will discuss rates and how to make allowances for them to ensure that you have enough to cover your bill at the end of your tax year.
In order to run effectively and in a tax efficient manner, all small businesses must ensure they are bookkeeping properly. We will discuss the methods you can use and software available as well as providing tips on good practice.
Some businesses must register for VAT and if they have not yet reached the threshold, some might voluntarily register for tax reasons. We will discuss why and when you should register for VAT and what it means for your business.
During the session, you’ll gain an understanding of business operations from a financial organisation point of view.
You’ll leave the session with the ability to apply your new knowledge and skills to your business to ensure its smooth running.
