Bite-sized Learning: 6 Steps to Build Your Financial Confidence

“Financial stuff is so analytical and confusing. Numbers just aren’t my thing.”

Sound familiar?

A smart financial mindset is essential for the success of any business, no matter your size.

But the truth is, for many, navigating finances and the tax system is far down on the list of boring and time-consuming things to get done. And who can blame you? Dealing with finances can be one of the most stressful parts of running a business, especially when you’re on your own.

This is why most small business owners make the mistake of overlooking key money-related areas and end up running into problems down the line.

Of course, no business owner can predict the future. But you can prepare for it.

This Bite-sized session is designed to give you an introduction to the core areas of finance for small businesses without any jargon or bamboozling. Financial coach Catherine Pope will take you through the clear, simple steps you can apply to your own business to help you get started on your journey towards financial confidence.

In this Bite-sized session, you will discover:

  • How to simplify your finances
  • The right way to identify costs
  • The steps to put in place to ensure you get paid on time
  • Paying yourself a decent income
  • How to protect your business against financial disaster
  • Why tax doesn’t need to be taxing

Who for? Whether you’ve just launched your start-up or thinking of embarking on the next stage of your business, this session is ideal for tiny businesses – freelancers, sole traders, partnerships, or solopreneurs – in any sector who want to take back control of their finances.

Who by? Enjoying a varied career as a web developer, publisher, and university lecturer, Catherine Pope – now a financial coach and trainer – is on a mission to help small business owners build their confidence and make better decisions with money. Catherine offers 1-2-1 coaching, workshops, and online courses – bringing together her love of finance, technology, and learning.
