Brexit. The one word you have probably heard over and over again, this might be because the country has backed Brexit. But what does this actually mean?
Prime Minister Theresa May - who replaced David Cameron after he quit in the aftermath of the referendum – announced, at the start of October 2016, her deadline for beginning the formal Brexit process. She said that Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, which triggers two years of formal negotiations, will be invoked before the end of March 2017. In practice this means the UK will be out of the EU by the summer of 2019. How much do you know about the Brexit process? Do you have an interest in politics and want to meet more likeminded people like you? Are you up for conversations and team debates around Brexit? Our ‘Bite the Brexit event could be for you!
